Paint Enhancement vs Paint Correction: the Paint Enhancement in Wash & Polish is one machine polish for gloss and clarity; it isn't designed to remove swirls or scratches. Paint Correction is a separate, assessment-first service for reducing paint defects. Ceramic Coating is for protection measured in years, not months.

We inspect under dedicated lighting and measure paint thickness, then polish to reduce suitable defects as far as your paint can safely allow. There's no fixed percentage, and deep scratches or chips may remain.

Ceramic Coating
Choose it if you're keeping the car and want multi-year protection and easier washing.
3-, 5- and 8-year packages. Each includes decontamination and a Paint Enhancement polish before coating; correction can be added. A coating isn't scratch-proof and still needs regular, correct washing. It's a different service from the ceramic wax/sealant in Wash & Polish (up to 6 months).

Your booking is a request until Azul confirms it. If your service needs an earlier start, we'll suggest one. No deposit. We arrive with our own water, power and lighting, and you pay when the work is complete.
Heavier conditions
Text photos → we confirm the price before we arrive. Heavy bugs, tar, sap and etched water spots. Nothing extra is added without your approval.
Assessment first · Paint Correction, Ceramic Coating
Photos → quote → a deposit reserves your date. Paint is inspected and measured on the day before any polishing.
Weather: if rain makes exterior work impractical, we reschedule with you. There's no charge when Azul reschedules for weather.
How pricing works
Base price: set by package and vehicle size: Sedan/Coupe, SUV/Small Truck or XL SUV/3-Row. It includes normal, everyday condition: light pet hair, normal stains, everyday bugs and typical dirt.
When condition changes the price: excessive pet hair, unusually heavy soil, significant staining, persistent odor, heavy bugs, tar, tree sap or severe contamination take significantly more time and product. Send photos before your appointment and we'll confirm the adjustment before we arrive.
If we find something unexpected: if the vehicle's condition is materially different from what was described, we'll explain what we found and your options. Additional work only happens with your approval.
Oversize and specialty vehicles: large pickups, lifted trucks, full-size and Sprinter-style vans and unusually large SUVs are quoted individually.

How much does exterior car detailing cost in Houston?
At Azul, Exterior Detail + Gloss Reset is $139 (sedan/coupe), $159 (SUV/small truck) and $179 (XL SUV/3-row). Wash & Polish (Paint Enhancement) is $359, $399 and $449. Oversize vehicles are quoted. Prices are before tax and include normal condition.
What is Gloss Reset?
Gloss Reset is the finishing step of the Exterior Detail: after the hand wash, we apply a professional paint sealant that protects the paint for up to 3 months. It doesn't include machine polishing, full decontamination or paint correction.
What's included in an exterior detail?
Exterior Detail + Gloss Reset includes a hand wash, wheels and tires, exterior glass, light bug removal and a professional paint sealant (up to 3 months). Wash & Polish includes the same wash, then adds chemical and mechanical paint decontamination and one machine polish, and finishes with a ceramic wax/sealant (up to 6 months) instead of the paint sealant.
Does Exterior Detail include clay bar or paint decontamination?
No. Chemical and mechanical paint decontamination is an optional upgrade for Exterior Detail: $59 (sedan), $79 (SUV) or $99 (XL). It's already included in Wash & Polish, so there's nothing to add there.
What is Wash & Polish?
Wash & Polish (Paint Enhancement) is Azul's exterior package for paint that looks flat or dull. It includes the hand wash, wheels, glass and light bug removal, then chemical and mechanical decontamination, one machine polish for gloss and clarity, and a ceramic wax/sealant for up to 6 months of protection. From $359.
Does Paint Enhancement remove scratches?
No. It noticeably improves gloss and clarity, but it isn't designed to remove swirls or scratches. Reducing defects is Paint Correction, which starts with a free photo assessment.
What's the difference between Paint Enhancement and Paint Correction?
Paint Enhancement is one machine polishing step for gloss and clarity, booked online at a fixed price as part of Wash & Polish. Paint Correction is assessment-first: we inspect under dedicated lighting and measure paint thickness, then polish to reduce suitable swirls, scratches and oxidation as far as the paint can safely allow. One-Step correction starts at $549.
How long does an exterior detail take?
Exterior Detail + Gloss Reset takes about 1.5 hours (sedan), 2 hours (SUV) or 2.5 hours (XL). Wash & Polish takes about 3, 3.5 or 4 hours. Headlight Restoration adds about 1 hour.
How long does the protection last?
Up to 3 months with Exterior Detail (paint sealant) and up to 6 months with Wash & Polish (ceramic wax/sealant). “Up to” means good conditions; washing habits, sun, rain and contamination shorten it. A ceramic wax/sealant isn't a Ceramic Coating. Multi-year protection is Ceramic Coating, with 3-, 5- and 8-year packages.
Can I add Headlight Restoration?
Yes. Headlight Restoration is $129 and takes about 1 hour. Add it to an exterior package or book it on its own. Results depend on lens condition; internal cracking or severe lens damage may not be fully correctable.
What if my car has tar, tree sap or heavy bug build-up?
Everyday bugs and road film are included. Heavy bug build-up, tar, tree sap, etched water spots or severe contamination take more time and product, so they're priced after photos. Text photos to 713-386-9945 and we'll confirm the price before we arrive.
Do you bring your own water and power?
Yes. Azul carries an onboard generator, a 40-gallon water tank and professional lighting. Access to your water or power is helpful but generally not required.
What happens after I book?
Your online booking is a request. Azul reviews it and confirms by text, and suggests an earlier start if your service needs one. No deposit is required for Exterior Detail or Wash & Polish, and payment is due when the work is complete. Paint Correction and Ceramic Coating follow a different path: photos and a quote come first.
