Suits you ifYou want the same coated surfaces as the 5-Year with the longest-lasting paint coating, for example because you plan to keep the vehicle for years.

Graphene Performance Stack (5-Year and 8-Year)

A graphene-enhanced layer applied over your base coating within the right application window, for more slickness, added gloss, better water behavior and improved water-spot resistance. From $299. Ask for it with your assessment, or add it on the day before coating starts.

Warranty years don't add together: a 5-Year with the Stack stays a 5-Year warranty, and an 8-Year with the Stack stays an 8-Year warranty.

Glass and wheel faces

Wheel-face coating covers the outward-facing surfaces while the wheels stay on the vehicle. We don't remove wheels, and we don't coat wheel barrels or brake calipers.

The written warranty covers coated exterior painted surfaces only. Glass, wheel faces, lights and unpainted trim are coated as your package lists but aren't covered by the warranty.

How your quote works

Prices shown are starting prices. Your quote depends on:

  • Vehicle size
  • Paint condition
  • Any correction or add-ons you choose
  • Heavy contamination or water spots that need extra work

You'll receive your quote before anything is booked. On the day, paint inspection and thickness measurements confirm the plan. If the vehicle's condition differs from the photos and the work or price needs to change, we'll explain why and get your approval before continuing.

Appointments usually take about 6–10+ hours on site, depending on vehicle size, paint condition, package and correction, and are scheduled earlier in the day. Prices shown before applicable tax.

Reserving your date

  • A deposit of 20% of your approved quote (minimum $150) reserves your date and applies toward your final invoice.
  • Cancel at least 48 hours before your appointment and your deposit is refunded, or move it to a new date. With less than 48 hours' notice, a cancellation or no-show may forfeit the deposit, but you can reschedule once to a date within 60 days and your deposit moves with it.
  • If Azul reschedules because of weather or environmental conditions, your full deposit moves to the new date.

The remaining balance is due when the work is completed. A 3% surcharge may apply to eligible credit-card payments where legally permitted; debit cards aren't surcharged. Flexible financing options may be available through PocketSuite at checkout, subject to approval and provider terms.

Preparation

Preparation is most of the job

A coating locks in whatever is underneath it, so every package includes the same preparation before any coating goes on.

  1. Thorough wash
  2. Chemical decontamination
  3. Mechanical decontamination when needed
  4. Paint inspection
  5. Paint-thickness measurements
  6. Paint Enhancement polish
  7. Panel preparation
  8. Coating application

Paint Enhancement or Paint Correction?

Enhancement is included. If swirls or scratches bother you, correction can replace it.

Included

Paint Enhancement

No extra cost

One machine polish for gloss and clarity. It improves appearance; it isn't designed to remove swirls or scratches.

Upgrade

One-Step Paint Correction

From +$249

Light-to-moderate swirl and defect improvement.

Upgrade

Two-Stage Paint Correction

From +$449

Heavier swirls, oxidation and more significant correctable defects, where paint condition safely allows.

Assessment

Multi-Stage Paint Correction

Custom quote

Severe or complex correction.

Correction replaces the included Paint Enhancement step, so you don't pay for both. No correction level promises a fixed percentage of defect removal; deep scratches, rock chips and defects through the clear coat may not be safely removable. How Paint Correction works

Honest expectations

What ceramic coating does, and what it doesn't

What you can expect

  • Deeper gloss
  • Strong water beading
  • Easier washing
  • Resistance to many chemicals and contaminants
  • Long-term surface protection for your paint

What it won't do

  • Make paint scratch-proof or chip-proof
  • Remove existing swirls or scratches (that's what Paint Correction is for)
  • Stop water spots caused by neglect or the environment
  • Replace regular, correct washing and documented maintenance

Coating, PPF or wrap?

Ceramic coating vs PPF vs vinyl wrap

All three add a layer over your paint, but they solve different problems. A ceramic coating keeps paint glossy and easier to clean, paint protection film (PPF) absorbs rock chips and scratches, and a vinyl wrap changes the color. Azul applies ceramic coating; at the moment, we don't install PPF or wraps. Not sure which your car needs? Read our coating vs PPF guide →

Ceramic coating only

  • Water beads and sheets off, so washing is easier
  • Deeper gloss on the paint you already have
  • Resists chemicals, UV and contamination
  • Can also go on glass, wheel faces, trim and lights
  • Very thin; it can't be peeled off and wears slowly over the years

Both

  • An extra layer over factory paint
  • Help against bird droppings, sap and bugs
  • Professionally installed
  • Still need correct washing

PPF only

  • Thick, clear film that absorbs rock chips and road debris
  • Many films self-heal light scratches with heat
  • Can be removed by a professional
  • Usually on high-impact areas (bumper, hood, mirrors) or the full car

What sits on top of your paint

Cross-section: paint with a very thin ceramic coating on top, water beading on the surface

Ceramic coating

Best for: gloss, easier washing, resistance to chemicals and contamination.

Won't: stop rock chips.

Look: same color, glossier.

Cross-section: paint with a thick clear protection film on top, a stone bouncing off

Paint protection film (PPF)

Best for: rock chips and scratches on high-impact areas.

Won't: change the color.

Look: clear, in gloss or satin.

Cross-section: paint covered by a colored vinyl film

Vinyl wrap

Best for: changing the color or finish; removable.

Won't: absorb chips the way PPF does.

Look: a new color or finish.

Cross-section: paint with protection film, and a thin coating on top of the film, water beading

PPF + ceramic coating

Best for: chip protection on impact areas, plus easier washing and a slick finish on top of the film and on the rest of the paint.

Note: film needs a coating made for film.

Diagrams aren't to scale. Paint protection film is roughly 150–200 microns (6–8 mil) thick; a ceramic coating is far thinner. Already have PPF or a wrap? Mention it in your coating assessment.

Applied properly, cared for properly

Mobile application, aftercare and warranty

Azul's mobile van open beside a black Lincoln Aviator under a covered carport, with organized detailing supplies

Where we apply it

Mobile service with environmental protection and condition management, including canopy/shade and airflow when needed. Service may be rescheduled when weather or site conditions would compromise results.

We'll reschedule for rain, excessive wind, dust, unsafe surface temperatures or anything that would compromise application or curing, and your full deposit moves to the new date. Mobile service is available throughout the greater Houston area. Travel fees are not automatically charged. Extended-distance or special-location appointments are reviewed individually before confirmation.

You'll need a legal, safe, accessible space large enough to work around the vehicle. In apartments, condos, offices and managed garages, please confirm detailing is permitted; covered garages also need adequate ventilation and clearance.

Aftercare timeline

  1. At least the first hourKeep the vehicle dry.
  2. First 3 daysDon't wash it.
  3. First 7 daysAvoid harsh chemicals, abrasion, polishing and unnecessary contamination.
  4. At least every 6 monthsDocumented coating maintenance by Azul or another qualified detailer. Keep the dated invoice or report from each visit; proof may be required for warranty claims. Azul Car Club includes coating-safe maintenance visits.

Do

  • Hand wash regularly with pH-neutral shampoo
  • Use clean microfiber towels and safe wash methods
  • Remove bird droppings, bugs, sap and water spots quickly
  • Tell us if gloss or water behavior changes noticeably

Avoid

  • Automatic brush car washes
  • Harsh chemicals, degreasers and acidic cleaners
  • Abrasive polishing or compounding unless done professionally
  • Leaving contaminants on the paint for long periods
1 · The package term

How long it's designed to protect

The 3, 5 or 8 years in your package name is how long the coating is designed to protect coated paint with proper maintenance. Sun, washing habits and upkeep all affect real-world results.

2 · Your written warranty

Azul Ceramic Coating Certificate

Your printed certificate records that Azul coated your vehicle, with a written warranty matched to your package term (3, 5 or 8 years). It lists:

  • Client name
  • Vehicle
  • Coating package
  • Application date
  • Next maintenance due
  • Installer

If your coating stops performing the way it did when it was applied, and the vehicle has been maintained as the card requires, the warranty covers reapplying the coating to the affected areas.

  • Applies to coated exterior painted surfaces only
  • Coverage depends on documented coating maintenance at least every 6 months, by Azul or another qualified detailer; proof may be required
  • Not covered: scratches, rock chips, water spotting, neglect, accidents and improper washing

The printed warranty card controls if anything here differs.

3 · Satisfaction Guarantee

The service itself, within 48 hours

If something isn't right with the work we did, tell us within 48 hours of your appointment. We'll review your concern, inspect the vehicle if needed and re-perform covered work at no charge when appropriate. It doesn't cover pre-existing damage or defects, limitations we told you about, or new contamination or damage after the service. Refunds are case by case. This guarantee is separate from your coating warranty.

FAQ

Ceramic coating questions

Straight answers about Azul's mobile ceramic coating in Houston.

How much does ceramic coating cost at Azul Auto Detailing in Houston?

Azul's mobile ceramic coating starts at $895 for the 3-Year Ceramic Coating, $1,099 for the 5-Year and $1,345 for the 8-Year, before applicable tax. Every package includes decontamination, paint-thickness measurements and a Paint Enhancement polish. Your quote depends on vehicle size, paint condition, any correction or add-ons you choose, and any heavy contamination, and the photo assessment is free.

Which ceramic coating package should I choose?

Azul's 3-Year Ceramic Coating coats the paint, exterior trim, headlights and taillights. The 5-Year also coats the exterior glass and wheel faces. The 8-Year coats the same surfaces as the 5-Year and uses Azul's longest-lasting paint coating. On the 3-Year, glass and wheel-face coating can be added from $149 each. Compare packages

Is paint correction included with ceramic coating?

No. Azul includes a Paint Enhancement polish with every ceramic coating package; it improves gloss and clarity but isn't designed to remove swirls or scratches. Paint Correction is an upgrade that replaces the enhancement step: One-Step Paint Correction from +$249, Two-Stage Paint Correction from +$449, and Multi-Stage Paint Correction by custom quote.

How is ceramic coating different from wax, sealant or Paint Enhancement?

At Azul, a paint sealant protects for up to 3 months and a ceramic wax/sealant for up to 6 months. Paint Enhancement is a machine polish that improves gloss; it isn't protection on its own. A ceramic coating is a multi-year protective layer, with 3-, 5- and 8-Year packages, applied after the paint is polished, and it still needs regular, correct washing and maintenance.

Can Azul apply ceramic coating at my home or office in Houston?

Yes. Azul Auto Detailing is fully mobile across the greater Houston area and brings its own water, power and lighting, with canopy/shade and airflow when needed. Azul reschedules if rain, wind, dust or surface temperatures would compromise the coating. You need a legal, safe space large enough to work around the vehicle, and apartments, condos, offices and managed garages must permit detailing. Travel fees are not automatically charged.

How long does ceramic coating take, and when can I wash the car?

An Azul ceramic coating appointment usually takes about 6–10+ hours on site, depending on vehicle size, paint condition, package and correction, so it's scheduled earlier in the day. Keep the vehicle dry for at least the first hour, don't wash it for 3 days, and avoid harsh chemicals, abrasion and polishing for the first 7 days.

Does ceramic coating protect against rock chips?

No. A ceramic coating is a very thin layer that adds gloss, easier washing and resistance to chemicals and contamination, but it doesn't absorb impacts. Paint protection film (PPF) is the product made for rock chips. Many owners put PPF on high-impact areas and a ceramic coating on the rest of the paint. Azul applies ceramic coating; it doesn't install PPF. Compare coating, PPF and wrap

What's the difference between ceramic coating, PPF and a vinyl wrap?

A ceramic coating is a thin, hard layer that keeps paint glossy and easier to clean for years. Paint protection film (PPF) is a thick, clear film that absorbs rock chips and scratches; many films self-heal light scratches with heat. A vinyl wrap is a colored film that changes the car's color or finish and can be removed, but it doesn't absorb chips the way PPF does. PPF and ceramic coating are often combined.

What does Azul's ceramic coating warranty cover?

Azul's written ceramic coating warranty matches your package term: 3, 5 or 8 years. If the coating stops performing the way it did when it was applied, and the vehicle has had documented coating maintenance at least every 6 months (by Azul or another qualified detailer), the warranty covers reapplying the coating to the affected areas. It applies to coated exterior painted surfaces only. Scratches, rock chips, water spotting, neglect, accidents and improper washing aren't covered. The printed warranty card controls if anything here differs.

Is there a deposit for ceramic coating?

Yes. Azul asks for a deposit of 20% of your approved quote (minimum $150), which reserves your date and applies toward your final invoice. Cancel at least 48 hours before your appointment and the deposit is refunded, or move it to a new date. With less than 48 hours' notice, a cancellation or no-show may forfeit the deposit, but you can reschedule once to a date within 60 days and your deposit moves with it. If Azul reschedules because of weather or environmental conditions, your full deposit moves to the new date.

How do I get a ceramic coating quote from Azul?

Fill in the Request Coating Assessment form, then text 4–6 photos to 713-386-9945: front and rear three-quarter views plus close-ups of swirls, scratches or water spots in good light. The assessment is free with no obligation. Azul replies the same business day if you contact it during business hours (9 AM–5 PM), otherwise the next business day.

Is financing available for ceramic coating?

Flexible financing options may be available through PocketSuite at checkout, subject to approval and provider terms.
